IPYG Seoul East : Peace Walk, after 1 year.

The 1st anniversary of The Declaration of World Peace hosted by Heavenly Culture World Peace Restoration of Light (HWPL) was celebrated by IPYG on May 25, at World Peace Gate in Olympic Park, Seoul. At the same time it was holding in many different places in Korea like Busan, Gwangju, also overseas branches of IPYG in Berlin, New York, Central and South America, and Africa celebrated the anniversary.

Mr. Lee, president of HWPL laid a wreath at Memorabilia Hall in United Nations Memorial Cemetery in Korea located in Busan and had a speech; “Here rested many patriotic martyrs who were in their youth, fought in battle field laying their lives. Young people must protect you by yourself and mothers who have son must protect their sons themselves from war. There are a lot of people working for peace and awarding peace prize, however, I have the solution to achieve peace indeed. I have met presidents of many countries and religious leader, requested them to make International Law for cessation of war and world peace, and sign the agreement to work for peace together. And then, I informed this to broadcasting stations of each country.” And “there breaks out numerous wars because of religious conflict. As the will of the founder of the religion, God the Creator, every religious faith should becom one for peace” said Mr. Lee.

After Mr. Lee’s speech, Ms. Kim the president of IPWG addressed. She mentioned recent tragedies like Sewol ferry accident in Korea, Nigerian schoolgirl kidnapping, the military coup of Thai etc, and said “Mr. Lee is the only one who can bring peace in this world and he would be the father of peace. Let’s work together with him as messenger of peace.” Following was congratulatrory message of a Nagerian professor visiting Korea with Ivorian ambassador.

IPYG abroad sent video messages of congratulations. Six members of IPYG from different countries recited The Declaration of World Peace and the march of peace walk was started as president of IPYG led a chant. Although getting rained on, our passionate young men celebrate the day with shining faces.

To explain the event of The Declaration of World Peace in 2013, there were peace walk campaigns organized by IPYG that over 30 thousand people joined in 130 countries all around the world at the same time. A year after, the number of people gathered for the first annivesary was over a hundred thounds, and IPYG has achieved recognition and grown rapidly having 235 youth group from 69 countries, 100 women group from 16 countries as their members.

What Mr. Lee has done in a year going around whole world is even more surprising. Especially concluding a peace agreement had been impossible for government and numerous organizations for 40 years in Mindanao, Philippines where conflicts had never ended. As an individual, leading peace agreement from current and former presidents, celebrated religious leaders would be an unprecedented thing any of peace workers ever has done. 

Could peace walk campaign this time be a bridge for mankind to the peaceful world? The real peace that every humankind aims. Will the real peace be achieved? I hope and wish Happy Ending!
